The Kent Gloster Society held its 36^th annual club show on Saturday on 4^th October.  407 birds were entered into the show, with a total of 67 novice birds forming a significant part of this year’s entry.

The Best Gloster was benched by Phil and Ryan Dawtrey, with a really well presented Unflighted Buff Three Parts Dark Corona Hen wining class 14 and going on to be best in show.

This superb hen was favoured by our appointed show judges Mr Eddie Wells and Mr Steve Chennells and was duly crowned Best Gloster in show.

The Best Novice in Show was won by Mitchell Cowen with an immaculately turned out Unflighted Buff Three Parts Dark Consort Hen.  This bird went on and won the Best Opposite Head award for the show, bettering a number very decent Champion Consort cock and hen birds in the process.

The show committee would like to send thanks to all of those who supported the Kent Gloster Society again this year and for those members who help make the show an event that Gloster canary fanciers across England enjoy being part of.

All members should note that next year’s show will be held on Saturday 3^rd October 2026 at the usual venue of Burham Village Hall, near Rochester in Kent.

The 2026 AGM, which will be held on Sunday 7^th March, commencing at 10:30, the location is to be confirmed.
