Another lengthy exhibition season came to an end for Gloster breeders attending the IGBA most recent CBS Affiliate “Guildford Bird Group”.

The venue Normandy Village Hall, Glaziers Lane, Normandy. The name Village Hall really does not do it full justice; new purpose built community hall, ample parking, large well lit hall, kitchen facilites, everything that enabled Lez Fairbanks, Charlene Turner and their team to host just under 100 Gloster’s.

Guildford have a long term plan as far as Gloster’s are concerned, its very simple – expand entries – and with the support of their “sales” and “sponsors” “can do” attitude and willingness to listen to exhibitor suggestions on small changes they more than likely will succeed.

Awards are without doubt the best on the CBS circuit and match virtually every ALL Gloster show.

Judged in a relaxed atmosphere by George Thompson (Southend), ably supported by steward Shaun Gardiner, the eventual outcome saw John Cronin once again clearing the overall awards with a TPD Corona

and his Cinnamon Consort

taking Best Gloster, Best Opposite Head, Best Yellow / Cinnamon / White

Albert Hutton continued his progress in the Novice Section with Best Novice Gloster, mirroring his All Gloster achievements, by adding to his CBS Championship points.

A CBS well worth Gloster aficinado’s making a date in the diary to finish their exhibition season.
