2022 All Gloster Show Results – Analysis

The 2022 IGBA British Championship provides exhibitors with a challenge to top the league table at the end of the exhibition season, but as all you statisticians out there will realise and recognise, being top of the leaderboard whilst it’s a monumental achievement, does not necessarily tell the whole story of exhibitor prowess over the season. It does not identify for instance, consistency, success ratios and much much more.

We are later producing show stats this year and analysis is still being worked on to produced tables for each show, identifying the entrants and their respective achievements. As each one is completed the link will become live.

The data is taken from AG’s who have provided me with both catalogues and placings. If your club/society/association (UK) does not appear below please send me, Adrian Short, a copy of your catalogue and class results  1- 7 and the stats will be recast.

We recognise that to be truly meaningful, we need to receive every AG’s catalogue and results – “Can it be so difficult for you show secretaries to send a copy to me as soon as the show has finished? I hope not”.

The stats can help individuals when they are looking for stock replenishment to identify who they might contact. So here is a shout out to the Show Secretary “Help us to provide interesting information to the members send us Show Catalogue and Results please.”

Once completed these stats will make interesting reading especially when you compare one against the other and the really interesting table will be the  combination of all the individual tables in showing:

Who has been the most supportive of Gloster shows?

Who has been the most successful in terms of placings against entries?

How do the results compare to the British Championship Best in Show awards?

Take a few minutes to think about the data.

Remember to send your show report for inclusion in the Yearbook and website.
