The IGBA responded to the CIGB request for 5 items to go onto their next meeting agenda through our representative Shaun Gardiner.
Bear in mind that the CIGB is a new organisation starting with a blank canvass so everything is effectively new..
The 5 points (ok we gave 6) were made under the simple headings:
- Standard Review
- Show Classification Review
- Fountain drinkers on show cages
- Acceptance of AOC birds + rethink grizzle classes e.g. White / Allied
- Cage Sizing – update Fronts (punch bar welded) & entry hole – hand sizes are increased
- Judging Standards – utilisation of IGBA Panel once review completed.
IGBA is aware of other affiliate and individual submissions, and recognise that there are many other things to consider e.g Logo, Relationships with COM, NAC (Defra), and much more besides.
The IGBA committee recognise that there needs to be earlier communication with its members about CIGB matters to ensure that your voices are heard and points go before the CIGB in a timely manner.
