On October 5, 2024, together with Francesco Petti and Vincenzo Scardina we were invited to judge at the 1st Portuguese Show of the 2024 competitive season organized by the ODS in collaboration with the G.C.P. . The event took place in Angeja, a location near the splendid O’Porto.
The Show took place on Saturday only, the glosters exhibited were about 750 and all of good quality despite not having completed the molt yet, considering the period and the still mild temperature of Portugal.
The judging took place with extreme tranquility among us judges who have always decided by mutual agreement on all the winners from those of the competition classes to the best ..up to the Best Gloster in Show.
The Best Gloster in Show was a splendid variegated Consort hen by David Josè Paredes Bezera, the opposite best was a variegated Corona hen by Rafael Mendes.
The winning consort was chosen as best Gloster in Show for the balance of all the characteristics, splendid in type, shape, head and size completed by an excellent plumage.
Without forgetting all the other winners of the specials; Fernando Silva and Antonio Santos and the Best Novice Joao Luisi Paredes Fragoso.
Â
All splendidly organized by friends Joaquim Lopes, Sergio Miguel Miranda Besteiro, Paulo Pimenta and his very kind Mrs. Isabel Paiva and Victor Dias.

Thanks to the entire organization for the hospitality reserved for us, for the delicious party we attended on Saturday evening enjoying the delicacies of the local cuisine … exceptional as the whole event. thanks again.
