On 6/7/8 December 2024, the Turkish Gloster Club organized their 18 International Gloster Show.
My Portuguese friends Filipe Jose Azevedo and Bruno Cardoso and I had the honor of judging this important event held in Istanbul.
About 800 Glosters from all over Turkey participated in the show, attracted by the importance of the event. We judges carried out our work calmly and were followed by personal stewards and an audience of breeders who were very attentive to our work. The judging was carried out in full collaboration between us judges, comparing our choices in all the competition classes and then finding a shared conclusion in the choice of the winners and the best Gloster in Show.
At the end of the judging, a splendid hen Corona TPD by Aziz Cetin, the same one who then won the world championship in Portugal, a choice that found consensus not only among us judges but also among the other breeders present.

I wanted to thank all the organizers of the show from the supervisor Bans Oktem, the secretary Fatih Kalender to all the members for the wonderful welcome and hospitality, I will remember with pleasure the organization of the dinner on Saturday night in a typical restaurant where we enjoyed Turkish cuisine and the walk on the banks of the Bosphorus with wonderful evening landscapes.

It is not the first time that I have been invited to Turkey, but it was a pleasure to be back and if a new invitation will happen, I will do everything to be there … in TĂĽrkiye I left a piece of my heart.
