2025 will see the introduction of the IGBA Overseas Championship with the IGBA putting more support and emphasis into overseas competition. 

This necessitates a change in the IGBA Overseas Affiliate structure to ensure that existing and new affiliates have a choice of how to Affiliate. 

The IGBA Overseas Championship is a competition open only to FULL Affiliates and their  current fully paid IGBA members. 

There will be an Affiliate entry level called “Starter Affiliate” which will be for any Overseas club/society who for many reasons may think it initially best NOT to engage in the Overseas Competition but want to affiliate for the recognition of belonging to the World’s Premier Gloster Association. The Rosettes will be open to be awarded to any exhibitor. For this level of Affiliation  your group will get 3 (Three) Special Rosettes, Advertising on the website and in the Yearbook, and a Registration Certificate.

For those organisations wanting to participate in the Overseas Championship, Affiliate with the FULL package [ 6 (Six)  Rosettes Best Gloster, Opposite Head, TPD, Buff, Yellow/Cinnamon/White, AOC  +Trophy & Certificate for the individual adjudged the Country winner, based over the number of shows attended and points achieved.   

The objective is the same as the British Championship:- to support the growth and recognition of our International Membership and Overseas Competition to: 

• Expand IGBA Gloster breeder exhibitor activity in overseas countries.
• Encourage non-members to join the IGBA to engage in friendly competition.
• Find and celebrate the achievements of the lead exhibitor in a particular country.

To engage in this initiative all that is necessary is for Overseas Gloster clubs in any country to:

• Have your members join IGBA.  Link www.igba.co.uk/member-location/

• Register organisation as an overseas FULL affiliate.  Link www.igba.co.uk/affiliate-patronage-application/

• Advise the date of your exhibition, provide promotion advertising for the yearbook and website.
• After the event provide a catalogue of exhibitors and listing of the winners of each award and total birds benched.

We recognise that in some countries there will be only 1 (one) exhibition, in others more than 1.  We will make a simple start with Points awarded at each show for Best Gloster (20), Opposite Head (10), Variegated Buff (5), TPD (5), Yellow Cinnamon & White (5), Any Other Colour (inc Grizzle) (5)

Bonus points will added for the Best Gloster based upon the number of birds exhibited at each show, example: – less than 100 birds = 1 bonus point,  101-200 2 bonus points then incrementally up to a maximum of 10 bonus points for up to 1000 birds entered.

The Affiliate Secretary will record and publish the results. Each Country’s winner will receive a Certificate and Trophy commemorating their achievement.
