It may have escaped your attention that the Government is: “Seeking views on proposals to make it compulsory for bird keepers in Great Britain to register their birds”. 

Regardless of what one thinks is and is not the case, this will in its current form apply to ALL  bird keepers with 10 or more birds.  

Yes people that includes You!!! 

There is a consultation period to make ones views known.  This consultation closes at 11:45pm on 31 May 2023.

IGBA will, of course, be talking to other bodies to formulate a united response. 

BUT Don’t rely on the IGBA to make your voice heard its a case of numbers

Don’t “winge” if you don’t participate in the consultation and the end conclusion means that you have to register your Glosters in order to transport to / from premises including show venues.
