The positivity of the Committee to get things done with a “Can Do Attitude” shone through once again when John Cronin took on the task to get every class sponsored at IGBA2022.
Ok JC had proved such a task was possible having achieved the same class sponsorship with his home club [West Midlands]. However with the IGBA spread far and wide he thought it would be difficult to achieve the task he had committed to undertake.
JC hadn’t banked on the underlying positive support of the membership for the Premier Gloster Association.
In double quick time members stepped up and another first has been achieved.
All 72 Classes are supported 7 days before the event – task achieved well done JC proving something that has been a struggle in past years is doable.
A quick heads up from the Show Secretary, providing her maths is up to scratch, after collecting entries and producing / printing the catalogues it appears that at first count the 2022 entries exceed 900 and are very close to those of 2021.
Entries were received from overseas members but they had to be reluctantly declined due to the post Brexit continuation of import / export regulations.
We are informed that a number of our EU members will be travelling to visit the show. We look forward to welcoming them and renewing interrupted face to face friendships which have been curtailed since 2019.
For those of you looking for quality birds to enhance your stud, remember there are 3 pairs being auctioned at IGBA2022 under a “Silent Auction” running throughout the event until 12:00 Sunday.
