A very restricted 2022 Exhibition Year, due to Human and Avian Virus restrictions, came to a conclusion with the Humberside Show in late November.
With Darren Gill drafted in at the last minute to judge Humberside it meant that the Skeffington & Gill partnership’s continued grip on the Champion leadership going in to Round 5 rested on their previous performances, and if George Nicol continued his recent winning ways there was a good chance that he might ease into the premier spot at the last minute.
With the Goddard & Rands partnership taking the top Humberside award it left George Nicol trailing the long time leaders Skeffington & Gill by 60 points. The IGBA2021 winner Adrian Short finally taking a well earned third place.
The Novice sector has seen a clear leader from the start. Ian Chamberlain has taken the accolades at both IGBA2021 and Affiliate Open shows proving dominant throughout the exhibition season.
A fitting conclusion to the Junior Championship saw Ruby and Amy Lambert claim joint ownership to being crowned Junior Champion.
Warm congratulations from all Gloster Breeder / Exhibitors go to the Champion Leaders Skeffington & Gill, Novice Leader Ian Chamberlain and Juniors Ruby & Amy Lambert. All will be presented with the perennial Breeder / Exhibitor Shields at the March AGM.

Finally it might not have escaped your attention that the IGBA members show did not contribute to the 2021 Championship. Adrian Short, the Championship initiator, will be making some slight changes to the format for 2022 one of which will include the World’s Premier Gloster show.
